"There is a non-Japanese woman working at the front desk, and she is the only one with a very rude and arrogant attitude. I think it would be a good idea to at least remember the faces of the guests staying there. Other than that, the staff were all very nice. The baths were also very good. However, there are two regular baths in separate locations, so I thought it would be better to get a clearer explanation of the hours, men's hours, women's hours, etc., rather than listening to the staff's verbal instructions, which are not very good in Japanese or English"

"The good: Beautiful hotel with nice view and great location. The hotel is very nice inside. Feels both modern and traditional at the same time. We had the river view room with balcony, it was awesome. The private Onsen with river view was nice. Breakfast was AMAZING japanese style.\nThe bad: We had negative experience in the reception. The (Napal? The accent seemed foreign...) women who handled us seemed impolite. Me and my wife were unable to book the private Onsen online in advance, so during check-in we took few minutes to figure out which Onsen at which time we should book. The receptionist gave us bad vibes of impatience, which was not justified since the reception counter had other members handing customers at that time. We expected a much higher standard of service from this hotel. It was the first time we felt rudeness in Japan, which is why I did not give 5 star review. All the other staff members were very friendly."

"A large onsen hotel in Gro.\nConvenient location about 10 min walk from the station. Just the way to the entrance is bit steep and hidden.\n\nIt is like a maze in the hotel cuz there are a lot of rooms and onsen options but the staff can speak decent english and Japanese so easy to communicate."
