"Would not recommend.\n\nYou can tell the hotel was last renovated quite some time ago and with cheap materials.\n\nThe wallpaper, wood material used for the table, etc looks cheap and feels cheap. Overall the hotel room just felt old, dated, and closer to a hostel feeling than a hotel.\n\nEven for a 3-star hotel, there are plenty of other options with newer and more premium rooms. For example this hotel has very little shelving, very little hooks, space is at a premium in Tokyo but the space is not used well here, a lot of empty wall space that shelves can hooks could have been added.\n\nWould not revisit again unless absolutely necessary, I'd describe it as functional and bare bones."

"I stayed at this hotel for a full week in March 2025, paying approximately $100 per night. Overall, my experience was quite positive, with a few minor drawbacks.\n\nPros:\n\nConvenient Location: The hotel is within close walking distance to Gotanda Station, making it a great option for those frequently commuting via the Yamanote Line. This ensures easy access to major areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya without the high accommodation costs of staying directly in those districts.\n\nNearby Amenities: Convenience stores and a supermarket are just around the corner, making it easy to grab food and snacks at any time of the day or night.\n\nClose to Don Quijote (Donki) Gotanda: While this branch is smaller compared to the ones in Shinjuku or Shibuya, it is significantly less crowded, providing a more comfortable shopping experience.\n\nGood Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers self-service amenities, allowing guests to pick what they need. Daily housekeeping is available upon request, and the hotel provides pajamas and fresh towels, which add to the comfort of the stay.\n\nCons:\n\nSmall Room Size: As expected in Tokyo, the room is quite compact. While the double bed is suitable for two people to sleep in, the overall space can feel cramped if two guests are staying together. However, for solo travelers, the room size is perfect.\n\nLimited Bed Space: The bed, though a double, may feel small for two people who prefer more sleeping space.\n\nDespite the compact room size, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and I did not encounter any issues throughout the week. If you are looking for an affordable hotel with a great location near Gotanda Station, this is a solid option. It is especially ideal for solo travelers or those who prioritize convenience and cleanliness over spacious accommodations. I would definitely recommend it for those seeking a budget-friendly stay close to Shinjuku and Shibuya."

"Very convenient location, near the station and also right next to a convenience store and supermarket. The room was simple, small but good enough for a short stay business trip. Staff were friendly, breakfast was okay although no fruit, just salad and things like Japanese curry and hamburgers, which was a bit weird for breakfast. But they had nice enough croissants and fresh juice so not bad."
