JR East Hotel Mets Akabane

"What can I say about a JR East hotel? It's kind of self explanatory. I've stayed at the Mets Mejiro a few times in the past and both, the Mejiro location and the Akabane location are excellent. Right next to the JR train station, it doesn't get any more convenient than this truth be told. Yes, it is Japan and it is a Japanese brand so for the westerners coming into Japan and seeking accomodations in Japanese brands, please understand that the rooms are not your typical 350 to 400 sq feet rooms you are used to nor are the bathrooms massive. However, they are absolutely functional. Depending on your size, a regular unit can be good for one to at most 2 people. Only recommendation would be don't bring more than 2 large suitcases. You will regret it.\nSpecifically in terms of this location, staff was so friendly and helpful. Locationwise, I was surprised. It had EVERYTHING. If I did not have appointments in Tokyo with friends and family, I could explore this area for my entire week and still not be done. From stores for shopping, izakayas, conbini stores; everything is super close. I think this is going to be my location in the future again."

"we had a good stay at Hotel Mets Akabane. price is good & fair. room was pretty large for a Japanese hotel. but at the first day, our AC is leaking, but the hotel staff responded fast to our complaints & help to solve the problem. There are also a laundry room (self service). Overall good."

"Location of the hotel very strategic, beside the train station. Near the market, you can find many interesting place you can visit. They clean up the room every day."
