"Close to the metro, and that's about the only good thing I can say about it - and I thought Asakusa was a more central place, but it turned out to be pretty bad for accessing most of Tokyo, so even then it's not that great a spot.\n\nThe room was very dusty and stuffy, very dusty and stifling, extremely bad air circulation. Air conditioning barely worked and couldn't be adjusted, leaving me extremely uncomfortable throughout the stay. There were faded yellow stains on the sheets as well.\n\nThe bathroom also had a very unpleasant odor. Not foul-smelling but hard to describe. There was also a lot of black mold left to grow in some corners (not visible standing up, but very visible if you try to take a soak in the extremely tiny bath).\n\nI've traveled a lot but never once encountered such a terrible hotel. And it wasn't even that cheap either, I've stayed at better places for half this price.\n\nAbsolutely horrid."

"It’s a wonderful hotel, especially if you’re on a budget. The location is very close to Asakusabashi train station, many local restaurants, a coin laundry, and two convenient stores.\n\nThe staff is very friendly. The manager welcomed my SO and I on the first day in English and my stay was the best I had on my entire trip in Japan. The rooms were the biggest and cheapest too. The lift was fast and accommodates wheelchair users.\n\nI did not encounter any of problems the other reviewers were talking about. I’d really recommend the hotel. I’m definitely going again next Tokyo trip. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧"

"I stayed here in 2010 and then again 5 months ago on my second trip to Japan. Basic hotel - in all aspects - but cheap and in an amazing location."
