Hotel Sardonyx Tokyo

"We had a great stay at the hotel. The room was significantly larger than most Japanese hotels we've stayed before.\nIt's clean and modern; and beds were comfy. There are Metro and JR lines nearby.\n\nJust FYI for travellers who rely on JR: the Tokyo station's platform for JR keiyo is quite a walk to the main central building. With luggage, probably add 10min to your journey to be on the safe side."

"Great hotel stay without bells and whistles. Rooms were very spacious for Tokyo standards (queen bed). Located a 15 minute walk from Tokyo station and directly across the street from Hibiya line entrance. Bed and pillows were comfortable and self service amenities bar was the most plentiful across our whole Japan trip! Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and elevators were fast! Bathroom could use an update but otherwise highly recommend this hotel if these items fit the bill for you!"

"The hotel had rather spacious rooms with beautiful views of the city and canal, and you could open a window for fresh air (only a crack but still good enough). The rooms had comfortable beds and pillows and were very clean. The cleaning staff were so friendly and courteous - hats off to them!\nWe booked two rooms and Sardonyx was the only hotel out of all in Japan that placed us next to each other, thankful for that.\nThe reception staff were amazing and always had a smile. Even when we complained about a subpar breakfast on the premises (cold food, terrible coffee, limited choice of offering) - they explained that they are different businesses but took photos of our translated feedback to pass on to the restaurant.\nThe hotel had a laundry with washing and drying machines (Y300 for 30min wash and Y100 for 30min drying, we needed 1.5hrs to fully dry our clothes).\nThe location and surroundings of the hotel were outstanding from our point of view. We walked everywhere and enjoyed all little bridges and canals around the hotel.\nPlenty of convenient stores and eateries metres away. And only 15min walk from the Tokyo Station and minutes from other stations."
