Hotel Ginza Daiei

"I was accommodated for 12 nights in a single non-smoking room, and I was satisfied overall with my stay.\n\nThe price was reasonable given it was the peak spring-sakura season when the prices and affordable rooms were not that much available in central Tokyo.\n\nThe hotel gives an older feeling, and surely some parts in the room could use a little maintenance/update but overall it was no big problem and everything in my room was functioning well and was surely a better option than a hostel or capsule hotel which was not that much cheaper in the given dates.\n\nThe single room size was smaller than by European standards, but it was enough and I dont complain (maybe a little more room for a dresser would be nice, but it wasnt a big problem).\n\nThe staff were fantastic, very friendly, right at the check-in we have set the cleaning dates and overall there was no complication. Roomservice gave daily fresh towels, bathroom slippers and some other sanitary products (toohtrbrush, toothpaste, q-tips etc...).\n\nThe location is fantastic since Ginza is a busy shopping area but in the late night its nice and quiet so I did not have any problem with having a quiet sleep. It is located just 4-5 minutes on foot from the Asakusa metro line, which has also a direct connection to Haneda Airport (was really handy once leaving with a heavy suitcase, so I didnt had to carry it a long distance), and this line also connects to most of the important places in Tokyo.\n\nFor the given price I definatelly recommend the hotel. The only detail is as I have mentioned above some little maintenance/update would be welcomed, otherwise nothing else.\n\nArigato gozaimasu!"

"It is far from all the train stations.\n\nThere is strong cigarette 🚬 smell within the room. They switch our room on the same floor and it is not better.\n\nThe AC blows right above our head. Had to open the window to sleep.\n\nThe facility is old and All the wall and even the blankets are yellow with stained.\n\nI would have stay at a hostel instead of this hotel."

"Apparently this hotel here is particular does justify for their respective room charges.\nConveniently located in the heart of Ginza and within walking distances to the train stations and JR lines.\nA few flagship stores are also located in this vicinity within 10 to 15 minutes walk.\nAlso one good thing is that there are plentiful of local eateries surrounding the hotel which open till late hours.\nAlso there are few shopping malls conveniently located within walking distances too.\nThe hotel has all the essential services with some at additional cost (eg. LAUNDRY).\nRooms are reasonably spacious enough except for the toilet / bathroom which is typically small and space constraint.\nThe staffs don't really talk much unless U approach them for some reasons or purposes.\nHighly recommended to all visitors to Tokyo and also for the locals too."
