Dormy Inn Premium Tokyo Kodenmacho Hot Spring

"This is by far the worst Dormy Inn I have stayed in. There is a serious lack of Japanese attitude at the check-in counter. This was not so in February 2025 and in comparison to other cities we were at in April 2025.\nReception is horribly small and gets crowded with only merely 8 customers. There were 4 staffs at the check-in counter and 2 Automated Check-in Machines. When we were there, there was just 3 persons there and a young intern insisted we use the machine to check-in. It was a laborious and most convoluted process I have ever experienced! The 2 out of 4 counter staffs were free.\nUsually coffee and water are available at the check-in area. Here it is on the second floor in the Hatago restaurant. The coffee is dispensed from one and only vending machine coffee and not coffee machine! This is a BIG departure from the standard I come to associate Dormy Inn with.\nWorst still, the free ramen is a waste of time and effort! It is a far cry from anything Japanese!! We went once in 3 nights.\nNow the Onsen has all standard features of hot pools indoor and outdoor, one 6-person sauna, not cold pool but a single person tub! Shower area has max 6 cubicles.\nReally nothing premium about this hotel at all!"

"Very small room but clean and pleasant. Excellent onsen. The breakfast buffet was the highlight. A delightful variety of really interesting Japanese dishes with a few Western options sprinkled in as well. Really excellent quality."

"It’s actually quite a good place with affordable prices and a private onsen on the rooftop. They offer free ramen from 9:30 pm to 11 pm, and there are plenty of freebies along the way. The staff weren’t particularly friendly, but they could be more helpful. Overall, it’s a decent place for the price. It’s walkable to nearby places, but it’s not a great location for sightseeing. It’s more of a good place to sleep. The place is quite and nice, with good food and ice cream. They also have a massage chair. If you love onsen, then this is a good price."
