"Room is necessary clean but not more, meaning walls looks dirty, shower walls also and we just didnt get the best feeling. Also the locks where really difficult to operate, was a bit affraid we wouldnt get it open, standing outside at 11pm. Happened both with the outdoor, the innerdoor and also the elevator didnt work once. Location - okay distance to the city, however feels a bit shady on the exact location and with the building without any signs with the name of the hotel."

"Fine but disappointing.\n\nFirst I will say: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean.\n\nHowever:\n\nit does not seem like a 4 star hotel! The facilities were basic.\n\nThe building is an office block, which was untidy and unattractive.\n\nOutside the entrance to the hotel were piles of shoes and bikes.\n\nOn the day we arrived, we used the elevator and had to step around spit. Someone had spit inside the elevator.\n\nEvery morning we were woken up at 8am by building and maintenance work. Drilling, banging, terrible noise right by our room. Every morning.\n\nOur room had an ugly balcony with air con units, which were noisy. From the balcony and window you could see office workers right next to you. This was our only view.\n\nWe mentioned in the booking and on WhatsApp that we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. There was no acknowledgement of this or offer to help us celebrate in any way.\n\nOverall, we were disappointed. It was not as nice as we expected."

Plenty of shops/restaurants around the area.\nValerio was excellent on arrival, provided us with an understanding of where to go and what places are well rated. He also provided a map of the city and walked us through everything. I would highly recommend Mellini Palace Suites."
