"We stayed at Mandala Desa because it's close to Bali Zoo, and the stay was overall enjoyable. The hotel is kind of in the middle of some rice fields, so it was quiet, which is great! We stayed on the second floor, which also has an amazing view of the rice fields. The room is simple and spacious, and the staffs are very friendly as well.\n\nHowever, we did came across a giant cockroach and had trouble turning on the mosquito light during our stay, which made it hard to get rid of an annoying mosquito one night, but I guess that's normal when you live in a farm land, I just wish the doors can have better sealing to prevent bugs from coming in.\n\nAlso, hot water is very limited. We pretty much only had cold water half way through our showers, which is not a huge problem per se, because it was summer time. We basically would have had to change our showering habit of letting the water run at all time, if we really didn't want cold showers.\n\nEven with the few negatives I had, I still highly recommend this place. Those are just nick pickings."

"My husband and I had such a peaceful and relaxing stay here. The WiFi was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the pool was the perfect spot to unwind. I especially appreciated how well the hosts communicated and how helpful they were with transportation whenever we needed to get somewhere.\n\nThe showers are located outside the room, but still offer plenty of privacy, which was a unique touch. While we didn’t do the horseback riding, it was lovely to see the horses around the property. The local market is just a 10-minute walk away, which was super convenient.\n\nThank you so much for being such wonderful hosts—highly recommend booking a stay here!"

"We had a delightful experience at Mandala Desa. Though we only stayed three nights, we happily would have stayed much longer. Jan, his family, and the hotel staff were wonderfully pleasant. Our villa was clean, spacious, and private. Our kids loved the horses and even got to feed them, which was a real treat. Additionally, Mandala Desa has a lovely swimming area that we made full use of. The staff even brought us afternoon snacks and tea poolside.\n\nMandala Desa’s included breakfast has a good variety of options, which was very nice—especially if you are staying for a few days. We also took dinner in the room. The menu for dinner was varied, and the prices were extremely reasonable.\n\nThe bird park, reptile park, and zoo were nearby, but even without the nearby attractions, I would certainly stay here again. I would highly recommend Mandala Desa and will stay here again when we come back to Bali."
